Born in the South and raised in the West, Baraka has been cooking since she was 11 years old.
Growing up in the cultural melting pot of the Bay Area, California, she quickly became a lover of all types of food. Momma Roc took the Bay Area “umph,” mixed it with her Southern soul food roots, and created flavors that heal your soul.
After years of cooking for family and friends, planning parties, and catering events, Baraka is ready to share her take on food and event planning with the food-loving world. She is guided by 15 years of work experience in the hospitality industry –front desk service, banquet service, restaurant service – you name it. Anyone who knows Baraka can attest that she knows the true meaning of “Customer Service” and will always go the extra mile. Her attention to detail when working with clients and preparing her mouth-watering meals is unmatched. Bottom line? She knows her stuff… and it shows! But most importantly, she makes every dish with love that you can taste in every single bite.
